Al Masoudi was a historian and one of the most famous Arab scholars. He was known as the “Herodotus of Arabs”. He was the first to combine history and scientific geography. Among Al Masoudi’s books are the “Meadows of Gold and Mines of Gems” and “The Book of the Middle” which talks about the arrangement of historical events. Al Masoudi explained the causes of earthquakes in the 955 AD, he also talked about music in his book “Meadows of Gold” and introduced new musical information to the Arabs.
